Home Feed Terms & Conditions – Catz at Ashwood
General Care and Liability
At Catz at Ashwood, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care during all home visits. Please read the following terms carefully, as they apply to all home feeding services carried out at your property.
General Care and Liability
All reasonable care will be taken when attending to your pet and property. However, you acknowledge that pets are cared for at the owner’s risk. Catz at Ashwood will not be liable for any illness, injury, loss, or death of any pet unless caused by proven negligence.
We also accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, or breakage that may occur to the client’s property during a scheduled visit, except in cases of proven negligence by our staff. You agree to indemnify our staff against any claims arising from access to or use of your premises for the purpose of carrying out the home feed.
Veterinary Treatment
In the event that veterinary attention is deemed necessary, you authorise Catz at Ashwood to seek professional veterinary care and act on the advice provided. All veterinary expenses incurred will be your responsibility.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your emergency contact before proceeding unless immediate action is required.
Fees, Deposits, and Booking Charges
All visits are charged at the full daily rate beginning on the first day of service and for every scheduled day thereafter.
- A 50% deposit is required for any booking exceeding 21 consecutive days.
- We reserve the right to charge for the entire booking even if you cancel, return home early, or change the booking at short notice.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking start date may be charged at 50% of the total booking cost.
No refunds or credits will be given for early return, late departure, or missed days once the service has commenced.
Access to Property
You agree to provide safe, reliable access to your property for the purpose of fulfilling the agreed home feed services. Please ensure your home is secure and that all necessary instructions (e.g. alarm codes, gate locks) are clearly communicated in advance.
Catz at Ashwood is not responsible for any issues arising from faulty locks, alarm activations, or access barriers beyond our control.
Payment Terms
Unless otherwise arranged, full payment is required on or before the final day of scheduled visits.
Overdue accounts will incur:
- A $25 late fee, and
- Interest at 3% per month, calculated daily until the balance is paid.
Accounts referred to a collection agency will incur all related recovery costs.
Indemnity
By engaging our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Catz at Ashwood, its staff, and agents from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from the provision of pet care services on your property, unless caused by negligence.
Right to Amend
We reserve the right to update our prices and these Terms & Conditions at any time, without prior notice.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
