Cat Boarding Inspections Welcome

We encourage potential clients to visit during our open hours-no appointment necessary:

Monday to Friday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Weekends & Public Holidays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Inspections let you see our facilities and ask questions in person.

Trial Visits for New Cats

For shy cats or first-time boarders, we offer trial visits. These short stays help ease anxiety and make future visits more comfortable.

Holiday Boarding Policy – Christmas Bookings

During the busy holiday season (December 20 – January 6), a minimum stay of seven days applies. A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due at pickup.

Vaccination Requirements for Boarding Cats

All cats boarding with us must be vaccinated against:

Feline Calicivirus
Feline Rhinotracheitis (Snuffles)
Feline Enteritis

We also recommend discussing the Chlamydia (feline AIDS) vaccine with your vet.

Vaccinations must be:

Administered within the past 12 months
Completed at least 7 days before arrival
Valid for the entire stay

Feeding and Nutrition at Our Howick Cattery

We feed all cats twice daily with Royal Canin Fit 32, a premium dry food free from fillers and artificial additives. For more information about Royal Canin Fit 32 please click here.

If your cat follows a special or raw diet, you’re welcome to bring your own food. We store it safely in our kitchen’s refrigerator. There’s no extra charge for special feeding, but you must supply the food.

Supporting Shy, Nervous, or First-Time Boarders

Some cats need extra time to settle. We offer gentle evening play sessions during quieter hours and allow every cat to explore at their own pace without forcing interaction.

Visiting Your Cat at Our Boarding Cattery

Family members are welcome to visit cats while they are boarding with us. We only ask that all visits occur during our scheduled open hours.

Accommodation for Unvaccinated Cats

We offer a separate Isolation Suite for unvaccinated cats, ensuring complete separation from other boarders. Availability is limited, and a surcharge applies.

Please note: We do not accept unvaccinated cats between December 20 and January 10.

Hygiene and Cleaning at Our Boarding Facility

Our cattery is cleaned daily using veterinary-grade disinfectants. We sanitise litter trays, bowls, bedding, and surfaces to maintain the highest hygiene standards. Any soiled bedding is promptly replaced, ensuring a fresh, clean space for your cat.
